Rocky Mountaineer train — Integrated modular ceiling interiors
Context. Rocky Mountaineer needed to complete the central section of its panoramic carriages’ roof: the curved side glazing was already integrated into the train, but that central strip still needed structure, climate control and lighting.
Action. At Alstom Transports, my team designed in CAD, validated the integration, and took to production and quality control 2.5-metre ceiling modules that came factory-fitted with the structure, air conditioning ducting, direct and indirect lighting, and the train’s cable routing — ready to bolt straight onto the carriage structure.
Result. What normally requires several independent construction phases (support structure, climate control, electrical, pneumatic, lighting) was resolved in a single assembly station: the client only had to fit the modules into place one by one.

Sagrada Família Towers
Context. The architects and engineers completing the Sagrada Família changed the towers’ construction system: instead of carving and placing stone piece by piece on site, they moved to a skyscraper-style model — stone panels assembled in a factory, with metal structure embedded inside and between panels, then transported, lifted and installed on site.
Action. The design and calculations were already defined by the architects and structural engineers. Our job was to produce the industrialisation drawings, correcting small requirement details so the concept was genuinely manufacturable. As welding coordinator, I personally oversaw that every welding instruction on the drawings met the required specifications — on a super duplex steel structure, a material very few suppliers are able to weld.
Result. The complexity of welding this high-alloy steel was successfully resolved, and the fabrication deadlines set to have the towers finished in 2026 were met.
